Hi there! I’m Melissa. I’m a Mainah, a geek, and a writer.
Mark Twain once wrote: “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter–it’s the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.” As a writer, I find that the more time I spend trying to put the right words together, the better I get. This blog is where I do some of those creative calisthenics. And ranting. I’m a ranter, and sometimes I rant here.
I write science fiction and fantasy. My first book, Autumn’s Daughter, is now available for Kindle. My current project-in-work is a serial science fantasy which blithely ignores the restrictions of reality in favor of wondering, “Yeah, but what if…?”
I also design knitting patterns for fun, so if you’re a geek who loves knitting, we’re practically besties already. I love making new friends on the internet, so please feel free to connect with me wherever we both like to hang out!
